Hi, my fellow traveler,
How many miles have you walked this past week?
How many worries have you held on to?
Take a breath. It’s “TAB” time.
“Take a breath,” time. T-A-B. Take a breath.
And I know this sounds a little simple.
But take a breath and breathe.
You see this contemplative purple chair time is a time of pause and ponder.
Right now it’s TAB time.
Take another breath, my friend. TAB time.
What shenanigans have been swirling through your mind? Your brain?
Worries, cares, angers, frustration, fear, fear of missing out. Fear of being alone.
Just a general malaise.
All shenanigans.
For right now. in this Pause, the “shenanigans” become beacons;
Bright beacons, bright signals, blinking lights.
These shenanigans of ours, these trials and tribulations, they point us right to-
TAB time. Take a breath. Breathe. Deeply.
Go to that threshold where we can just be, where we can breathe.
Neuroscience is confirming it calms, it engages the vagus nerve. Which is the nerve that calms our whole system down.
It opens our wisdom center- this purple chair time, this TAB time, this rendezvous.
I love the words of Jesus, in Mark 6.31.
He said to his disciples, over 2000 years ago. Wise words.
“Come with me.
By yourselves to a quiet place.
And get some rest.”
Back then, Jesus literally invited a retreat.
A sanctuary, a pause in the chaos, amidst the shenanigans. TAB time. Take a breath.
So if you have a chance,
when I bid you goodbye, continue a little bit of TAB time.
Take a breath, sweet friend, breathe deeply.
And then you can proceed.
Imagine the impact you will have on your corner of the world.
Imagine that…
With Love,
From This Purple Chair To Yours,
Kathy
