Well, hello there my Fellow Traveler!
It is so good to push send when I see your name on my “Pause list.”
If you’re new to this pause text and supporting audio, please understand that you are not on a huge text group. I send this out to 165 individuals on a Wednesday (usually).
And if you choose to respond to the text, you will only be responding to me. And I would love that!
But even more than that, I love the honor and the joy of sending you a midweek Pause intended for you to take a few deep breaths. And realign… readjust … restore…..re-member…
The week‘s theme is “buffer.”
This is how it came about.
This morning, as I sat in my purple chair, I opened… my MacBook Air, and it was stuck.
Did you ever feel like that when you open your eyes? You are stuck?
Well… I decided to push the power button and hold it down a while, and everything on the screen went black. Then I gave the computer ten seconds or so, I hit the power button again, and it all woke up… I gave it a few more seconds, and then… it started reloading some of the things I like up on my computer.
This process got me to thinking about buffering. Giving “it” time to buffer. Sounds a lot like a Pause to me! Powerful. simple. effective.
Giving our whole system time to realign… To settle in… Allow the buffer-
It’s a soft, spacious, wise way to begin our day, and even throughout our day, to pause. To buffer.
Simply… pause.
So simple and oh so powerful.
Takes several intentional breaths. Even right now, my friend.
Arrive.
Before going on, before beginning.
Go deeper in your buffer; become aware of your surroundings.
Notice your body, how’s it feeling?
Where are you tense, or where do you feel really good?
Notice any emotions or thoughts that are rising up right now?
Notice any discomfort, disempowerment, or disharmony.
And just listen.
Buffer…
Be aware; conscious of this moment.
There is an innocence here, my friend, at the same time, an embodiment, a more soulful stance.
More complete, perhaps.
So you’ve come to Buffer.
You’ve paused.
You’ve arrived in awareness.
Now make sure you breathe again, consciously, deliberately.
It’s almost magical when we intentionally, very gently take a deep breath.
You have arrived. You have paused. You have breathed. You have rested…
And so,
With love, I send you and I on our life journeys from our purple chairs.
May we gently buffer, as needed today.
Kathy
