Hello my fellow traveler!
Do you know that I now send this little pause text message out to over 150 people individually?
And I say that not for any accolades. I’m going to be really honest with you, I love to think of you and pray for you. And so every time I push send to each individual I think of you. I pray for you. I am grateful for you.
Truly.
So take a deep breath. And settle in to a short but precious and I might add advantageous time.
This is a threshold.
We have come to a time of Pause;
the practice of stopping one thing before another. We are, in essence, at a threshold.
It is a sacred dimension, my friends. A holy pause full of possibility.
This is a place of stillness, my FellowSojourner‘s… Where we sojourn, and we let go of what came before, and prepare ourselves to enter fully into this space in preparation, for what comes next.
Let’s prepare ourselves to enter fully into this space of Silence & Solitude.
What does preparation look like for you?
-It could be a deep breath as you sit in your car, at a red light, ready for it to turn to green…
-Or Candles, lit, prayer shawl on, phone far, far away, focusing on the present moment…
-Or perhaps, some deep breathing…
-Or even perhaps a vow to ourselves saying, “I am going to stop rushing right now. From one thing to the next. I am not going to skim over this time. I’m going to gather my sacred attentiveness that brings forth almost another language of peace and revelation… Even in these ordinary moments…”
So let’s open up a space within ourselves for God to work, to call, to sit in Presence, to become fully conscious rather than mindlessly completing yet another task.
Now, in that consciousness, let’s move into a time of welcome Pause.
(And by the way, remember, you may have monkey brain… It’s pretty prolific… But just re-center. Then you’ll notice that monkey brain sit back down in a sense… What a rhythm.)
Take a moment two or two or maybe more to rest in this pause. You won’t be disappointed.
And now, as you rise, may be blessed by these words:
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you walk with, and in your Designer’s Presence today…”
With much love, From This Purple Chair To Yours…
Kathy
