Hi, my fellow travelers.
Ah, take a deep breath with me. Hold it a little bit, and then enjoy a great, big exhale.

I recorded this audio on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. I was saving it perhaps for such a time as this.
I don’t know what time or what day you’ll be listening to this, whether it’s today or tomorrow or the next day. I do know that it will be the right day for you to stop and Pause in your “purple chair.”

So settle in. Set down your cares and concerns for this moment. And just be…
sit at the feet… of the Teacher.

I happened to be sitting in a parking lot outside of my two grandsons’ elementary school; waiting for them to come out.

And it was so still. It was so peaceful. I really needed that time.
I could say, as I ponder it, that I craved it. I do find that I run too frequently throughout my day. And I realize that I could use some purple chair time.

Sometimes it’s in an actual purple chair, sometimes it’s sitting in a parking lot. in my warm car. Sometimes it’s even standing in line at the grocery store.

That’s the really amazing gift of the pause. That gift can happen whenever. It’s the gift that keeps on giving…

And you are here now.
Keep taking your breaths.

For there’s a tenor to The Pause and it’s called U P A S A N A. It means to sit down near, and it happens when the “right” Teacher has been found. We abide in him and he in us. And so what happens when we upasauna? We come near; we absorb the intention of the Teacher. So come near. Breathe in the Presence.
Allow the silence and the stillness and the solitude and the rest speak to you; comfort you, in ways that are almost indescribable. As it flows into you, you will overflow to your corner of the world.

Ponder that, my sweet friend, my fellow traveler.
