Welcome, my sweet traveler! Welcome to

The Pause : Unmistakable impact.

You see I believe that The Pause has an unmistakable impact on us. I was struggling today. I didn’t want to do normal tasks that I usually love to do. Has that ever happened to you? Well I wanted to complete this pause task and I just kept putting it off all day. So finally at 9 o’clock tonight I came up to my purple chair room and was wondering around. So I lit my candles and turned on my music and got my cup of tea and realized I was ready for a pause. A rendezvous.

So I turned on one of my old pause recordings and entered The Pause and it has had an impact – it’s unmistakable.

So take a breath and join me.

Begin by noticing your body.

Wherever you are… allow yourself to pause.

Not to accomplish anything.

Not to arrive anywhere.

Just to pause.

This pause is a threshold —

a doorway between the noise you came from

and the stillness that waits for you.

Into this pause, hear the quiet invitation of Jesus:

“Come away by yourselves to a quiet place

and rest a while.”

Breathe in slowly.

Breathe out gently.

You are not being pulled away in urgency.

You are being welcomed.

Now… step across the threshold.

Settle into quiet stillness.

Into solitude.

Into silence.

There is nothing to solve here.

Nothing to fix.

Nothing to prove.

This is a contemplative space —

where presence replaces effort

and listening takes the place of striving.

Stay here for a few breaths.

Let what needs to sink in… sink in.

Notice what arises without chasing it.

Notice what softens without pushing.

When you are ready, gently return your awareness

to your breath,

to your body,

to this moment.

And now… proceed.

Proceed knowing that this time has had an effect on you;

That rest reshapes the soul.

That what has been received in stillness

will quietly overflow

into your corner of the world.

That my fellow travelers is unmistakable impact.

As always, I send this to you from my purple chair to yours with much love, joy, & peace; knowing that when we arise from this time, we do make a difference in our corners of the world.

Kathy
