Affective Liminal Psychology (ALP)

A Gentle, Emotion-Focused Approach To Lasting Change

Affective Liminal Psychology (ALP) is a gentle coaching and personal transformation approach developed by Annie Grace. Rather than relying on willpower, discipline, or rigid behavior-change strategies, ALP focuses on how emotions are experienced, processed, and integrated.

Working with the natural rhythms of the mind and body, ALP supports individuals as they move through emotional and psychological transitions—often called liminal spaces. These in-between moments are where insight deepens, clarity emerges, and lasting change becomes possible.

Through emotional awareness, nervous system safety, and compassionate curiosity, ALP helps reduce inner resistance and restore a sense of agency. Change unfolds in a way that feels sustainable, aligned, and deeply human—rather than forced or effortful.

“You’re not broken. You’re complex. And that’s not something to fix – it is something to understand”.

The Purple-Chair Invitation

ALP is not about fixing yourself or striving to become someone else.
It is an invitation to pause, settle into steadiness, and listen—allowing curiosity, clarity and change to arise naturally from within. It’s about helping you return to your natural clarity, peace, and sense of agency, gently dismantling what no longer serves, and opening space for what truly nourishes your mind, heart, and soul. From this grounded place, transformation becomes not something you push toward, but something you gently allow.

This is the spirit in which I walk alongside those I journey with.
